Giambattista Valli, known for his distinctive shapes, use of flowers and timeless esthetic, was inspired by porcelain for his 2013 Fall Paris Couture collection.
Flawless skin, a strong eyebrow and radiant lips are the top beauty trends from the show.
In fact fine porcelain literally inspired Mac Makeup artist Val Garland who created the models look.
To begin, Garland created flawless alabaster skin reminiscent of china figurines using an application of Josie Maran’s Argan Oil followed by MAC Mineralize Foundation.
The next step in creating dewey skin is a mix of MAC Cream Colour Base in Shell, Luna and Pearl, brushed across the cheekbones, down the bridge of the nose and on top of the Cupid’s bow of lips.
Focusing on a very strong eyebrow, a pronounced eyebrow replaced mascara.
Completing the look is a lightly polished lip. To get this look I recommend Mac Creamsheen Glass in Paper Lantern.
So take a risk this fall and go for simple beauty, wear something bold in color or adorned in flowers, forgo the heavy mascara and be your own china doll.
